Dr. Kroes, M.D


Dr. Kroes, M.D. graduated from Stanford School of Medicine in 1999.

He graduated from UC Berkeley with honors and a B.S. in Biology. He trained in Family Medicine at the prestigious Family Medicine residency UCLA Kaiser. After his residency, he worked at Palo Alto Medical Foundation for over a decade as a partner in the Family Medicine Group.

In 2016, Dr. Kroes left Palo Alto Medical Foundation to open his private practice, Peninsula Doctor, in Menlo Park. Dr. Ian Kroes started Peninsula Doctor, a concierge medical practice, to rekindle his true passion for medicine. He is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and has trained in the fields of Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Sports Medicine, and Geriatrics. He has been practicing in the Bay Area for more than 15 years.

Dr. Kroes currently lectures at Stanford School of Medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Society for Nutrition.

In 2017 Dr. Kroes was named one of the Top Doctors in Concierge Medicine by Concierge Medicine Today. He was named again as one of the Top Physicians in 2018 by Concierge Medicine  Today.

Dr. Kroes has established close relationships with the specialists at Stanford Hospital & Lucile Packard Children’s hospital, El Camino Hospital, PAMF, Menlo Medical and private physicians in Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Atherton, Woodside, Portola Valley, Los Altos, Mountain View, Redwood City and San Carlos. He has also established deep connections at all retirement communities in the Bay Area.

Dr. Kroes currently lives on the Peninsula with his wife and two children.
