About Dr. Ian Kroes MD

Dr. Ian Kroes started concierge family practice Peninsula Doctor to rekindle his true passion for medicine. He believes in providing patients with the care they truly deserve and a doctor who genuinely cares about their health. His mission is to help his patients live healthy, well-balanced lives by combining the best practices in health, nutrition, and fitness.

Dr. Kroes is the founder of the Peninsula Doctor Concierge Family Medical Group. He is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and has trained in the fields of Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Sports Medicine, and Geriatrics. He has been practicing in the Bay Area for over 15 years.

Dr. Kroes is a graduate of the Stanford School of Medicine and the University of California at Berkeley. At Stanford, he performed research in infectious diseases and cholesterol metabolism. He pursued advanced training in Family Medicine at the UCLA Kaiser residency program.

Following his residency, Dr. Kroes worked for a group practice in San Francisco before joining the Palo Alto Medical Foundation (PAMF) in Palo Alto in 2005. Throughout his career, he has developed relationships with the best specialty physicians in the area. At the Palo Alto Clinic, he devoted his time to caring for community members and local families.

He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and Member of American Society for Nutrition and has held leadership roles at Stanford and the Palo Alto Medical Foundation. He is also involved with teaching and community activities. Dr. Kroes currently lives on the Peninsula with his wife and two children.
